Snapchat raises $1.8 billion triggering ‘Catch ’Em All’ investment strategy

Snapchat announced today they raised a $1.8 billion Series F investment. They immediately added it to their collection of Series A, B, C, and D funding rounds triggering a sweeping ‘Catch ’Em All’ investment strategy.

And it doesn’t stop there, from investments to celebrities, Snapchat has signaled a major move towards global consolidation, and, ultimately a new world order.

It surfaces not too distant memories of the infamous Ash Ketchum and his bloodthirsty quest to own all Pokemon.

“Pokemon, celebrities, it doesn’t matter,” said Char Mander. “I’ve experienced it and it’s not a reality that you want to live in.”

Time will only tell how far Snapchat will go, but experts say the future will probably look something like this:
